Had dinner yesterday (Saturday) at around 7:30 pm. We were seated promptly.
Ordered:
Char siu, $11.
Tofu with minced meat,$11.
Prawns in egg yolk, $22.
Beef curry, $11.
Sweet noodles with sugar/red vinegar, $12.
All tasted ok.
Expensive for what was offered.
The prawns were mixed with real prawns and 2 shrimps put together to appear as a prawn (trickery used by the restaurant).
Batter is made of egg yolk and their trickery was well hidden by the batter until eaten (left with 2 tails)
For $22, the dish had 3 prawns and 6 doubled-up regular shrimps.
Not worth it!
Personally, I won't recommend this restaurant because of their dishonest
cooking practices.
Known for their char siu....which I think is
overrated, expensive and nothing extraordinary.
