All the raving reviews still cannot prepare you for the awesomeness of this bar once you find it. There is absolutely no signage outside and even once you're in sip it takes a minute to register where the entrance is. However, once you get there you are truly transported to a different place. The level of detail here far surpasses Disney's Trader Sam's tiki bar in my opinion. I came with 3 friends on a Sunday afternoon and we had no reservations so the wait was about 45 mins. We lucked out that another large party cancelled their reservation so we got to sit at the only table made for more than 2 folks at a time. No exaggeration this place is REALLY tiny, but that also lends to making you truly feel like you're transported elsewhere. Just be aware if you have issues with small spaces this may not be for you.
Drinks: We ordered a Smoking Cannon, Pirate's Remorse, Smuggled Goods, and Heart of a Sailor. Yes they are pricey but they are beyond worth it and honestly are meant to be savored anyway, not chugged. The winner of the 4 though was the Smoking Cannon without a doubt. I've never had anything like it.
Staff: Awesome from the moment we walked in, were great with recommendations, and even when my friend had questions about different types of rum were actually able to give some knowledgeable background on the different types they used.
Not sure if it's because it was a Sunday evening but the bar pretty much cleared out have way through our visit and it was us and a party of 2 others so we were able to just sit and enjoy as long as we wanted. I would not try to get in here on a Saturday or Friday with no reservation though, it will definitely be a wait if you get in at all.
