My comments are specific to the Calgary security screening process:
I came through Calgary international airport for a local flight. On my return I was really sad to say I felt violated during the security check. I had my boots on because the agent insisted I keep them on. When I passed through security check machine-I was pulled aside as the machine went off.
An agent named Daniella provided the pad down which was bad but not the problem- checking the internal border of my waistline (3 inches) all around when I HAD NO BELT ON was uncalled for by this agent. I expect the MINIMUM courtesy with these agents. Being entitled to informed consent and overruled then INFORMING passengers of what is ENTAILED in the screening process to ensure they feel comfortable. This IS WRONG, No other airport I have flown through
I think it's important to be open about this issues on Yelp as well. I wish I could've spoken up but I didn't due to shock. If this happens to you- SPEAK UP. it is your right. Clearly- these agents are NOT undergoing the appropriate training that NEEDS to be addressed and queried.
