These guys know what they are talking about and while I may not be so fond of the hourly rate, they have been worth it every time.
We've had to take our 2001 Jetta in a few times and these guys have been efficient, honest and best of all they don't try to screw you!
The most recent time we took it in we'd gotten quotes from another source closer to home place who outright quoted 300. These fellas quoted an hour or two and then depending on how damaged the part was we were hoping to only replace a part of it rather the whole thing; which came in between (170 - 300). Unfortunately for me the part was fully shot, but the guys kept it to their quote and keep us informed the whole time. They even put it up to check that it was only that one part that was broken. And they caught that our power steering tube was leaking! Thankfully they caught this, had they not we would of been back a week later needing to replace the power steering hose and pump! And the pump is no cheap add on to the already expensive trip to the mechanics. It was no cheap up sell, had we not caught it in time the pump would of burnt out guaranteed. So while it cost more day of than I thought it would, they saved us $500 by catching the hose leaking. *Happy customer*
We initially went to Bushmasters after scouring the internet VW forums and had repeatedly found positive comments about their service, so I'm somewhat surprised not to see any feedback here on Yelp.
Oh and side note - the don't seem to slight women in anyway. I've dealt with some individuals while working on the car myself (yes I'm a woman who does most maintenance myself) at some part shops or while getting quotes where they "little lady" me and the guys at Bushmaster have never treated me differently than my husband or any other customer I've seen in there.
