| - Most of these places (often associated with Greek ownership, rightly or wrongly) where you get an entree with some veggies are generally the same - and oddly, most are no longer with us (at least, they don't seem nearly as prevalent any longer). Perhaps they have all been taken over by the Mighty Overlord Cracker Barrel or something.
Regardless, we were at the nearby movies, and figured it was worth a shot, so stopped in for a bite - with a rather large crowd, it seemed like a good bet. Though there was a small crowd waiting, it did not take long to get a table, and service was speedy taking our order, but it took a while to actually be served - a little strange, as even though the food is perceived as fresh, and may take a minute to make, with a full house it could, but these places are generally right on top of things and take no time at all to crank it out.
Once delivered, everything had something of a homogonized feel to it, where the mac looked like it had been scooped from a tray (I'm sure it was, no way could they make a good one in such a short time, but you get the idea), and the fried veggies were the same shape and size, rather than being the varied sizes you get when fresh/homemade. It wasn't that it was bad, exactly, it just gave off a fresh-freezed vibe rather than a farm-fresh one if that makes sense.
The cup of soup is a nice touch, but it didn't have any flavor at all to it, and had to add some hot sauce to get anything out of it.
