They charge $11.99 to fill a prescription. I picked up antibiotics worth $6.53 and paid $11.99 JUST to fill the prescription.
The doctor was supposed to prescribe me 10-days worth of antibiotics (apparently the standard cycle for skin conditions), but he mistakenly prescribed me a 7-day cycle. I went back to get the other 3 days worth of antibiotics and paid $11.99 again. For the doctor's error.
Then the girl said they sometimes waive the fee for insurance companies. And when I asked her to waive it for me, considering it was the doctor's mistake, she went to the back to speak to the pharmacist.
She came back and said, "Correction: We never waive the fee."
Going to another pharmacy, with a reasonable fee. I understand they can set whatever rate they want, that's capitalism.... but that doesn't preclude the rate from being unethical.
