| - It's very rare that I go in and post a bad review, I really like good reviews. But in this case this is a consumer alert! I reluctantly took my car to Jiffy Lube on Guadalupe and Mesa because everyone else was booked up and we were getting ready to take a road trip. It was close to the holidays so I took my car in for an oil change. I got much much more. They left the cap off my battery dropped it down by my radiator and AC fan, and there it sat until yesterday when I finally turned on my air conditioner for the first time. There was a loud bang and then there was a horrible grinding sound and now my air conditioner fan is out of balance and wobbling and hitting the housing. I took it back to them because clearly they did it once I saw that the cap was off and we found the cap down below something that doesn't fall off on its own. They accused me of creating an issue, trying to blame them for something they didn't do when it was crystal clear with the problem was I even got a second opinion from someone who stood to make no money on the deal. This hard plastic cap hit my air conditioner fan when it was turned on for the first time and destroyed my air conditioner motor and fan. It even left some of its red coloring on the fan blades, which further incriminate Jiffy Lube. However, This Jiffy Lube is taking no responsibility. Zero. Frank the area manager was absolutely rude and completely irresponsible about this. He literally looked at me and said "this didn't happen here" the type of immediate denial that to me seems guilty.. Well of course it did it's the only place I've been for service in the last 30 days. He told me it's been too long that I drove the car A Thousand Miles, full of course I did it's winter . I haven't turned on my air conditioner. Until yesterday, so, Genius Frank, how can I possibly have found the problem before yesterday? I trusted you to fix my car, instead you destroyed my air conditioner. This is a no duh moment. Frank the area manager was incredibly rude and completely unwilling to even try to resolve the problem. Because he knows it's now an expensive problem and I have to pay for it.
Do not do not do not go here, I fully intend to cost them as much business and more as they have costed me. I already let 1700 people know in my community, and gotten a lot of response. There's a fantastic oil change shop right next door, Just Brakes, I highly recommend them ask for Jake! He was more than willing to look at my car and give me an honest assessment. So avoid Jiffy Lube especially the one on Guadalupe at all costs, Frank the area manager should lose his job for how rude and insulting he was, and completely irresponsible for not taking accountability for the lackadaisical behavior of his mechanics. At the end of the day the cap was off my battery. End of discussion. It was their fault. I give them 0 Stars if I could. No reason to ruin my day they should have been grown ups and accepted responsibility. Instead I will continue to slam this company.
