| - Don't ask me why I haven't come here earlier, but I've been missing out big time. So I finally made it to The Alley for my bubble tea and OMG. Best milk tea with tapioca I've ever had!!! Although this shop wasn't huge, it's located in a very nice neighbourhood with small boutiques and other restaurants. There were a few chairs and tables set-up, but this particular location was really more like a grab and go kind of place. It probably isn't the best place to get your bubble tea on a cold winter night because there's no parking right outside, but in the summer, it's the perfect location. Many people like to walk their dogs, go for a hike around Two Good Pond, go to the public library or the art gallery and will pass by.
I ordered a large Iron Goddess Milk Tea with Tapioca with standard amounts of ice and sugar. If you're someone who enjoys a strong flavoured tea, this one is for you. They use a type of Ooloong tea called Tie Guan Yin for the flavour and it's amazing. The amount of ice and sugar is subjective so I don't want to be telling you how to enjoy your bbt, but the standard amount of sugar is usually a little on the sweeter end. I was also able to get a sip of the Royal No.9 Milk Tea with Tapioca from my friend and it's quite different than your usual milk tea. It had a hint of blueberry in it so it was very unique. The texture of the tapioca was chewy and soft, so it was cooked perfectly. Although I'm a little, okay maybe very, behind in the bbt game, I'm glad I was able to try two of the popular drinks on the menu highly recommended by my friends all in one night. Will definitely be back more often to try the other drinks. Now I can agree with my friends and say that The Alley has the best bubble tea. :)
