| - I had hoped to be posting a "5 star" review, what a huge disappointment and strange visit.
First I will say, the salon was not busy with customers at all, seemed like the few people in there were workers and their friends. The place is nice and new with candy themed decorations.
I had went in for a french mani/pedi, I didn't choose to pay for gels this visit so I opted for the "basic" treatment.
The male owner (never got his name) was tasked by one of the girls working the front door to do my nails; he seemed bothered to be doing my "basic" nails or much of anything from my perspective.
As the owner, I would expect a higher level of professionalism and desire to retain clients, he seemed distracted and bothered by the work he was doing. During the service, he would file a nail or two then get up and sit with his friends to chat about an article in Glamor magazine!
The owner along with his friends/workers gossiped for nearly my entire visit about an employee that has been missing for a week and the different scenarios that may have occurred. The strangest rant was about the effects of mixing bleach and ammonia, he went as far as stopping my service to look up more information on YouTube! At this point, I'm ready to get up and leave, asking the female working on my pedicure to finish my manicure; she responded with, he's gets distracted but does a good job.
Once he finally came back, I told him that I found his business highly rated on Yelp and was expecting a different experience; he then said that he along with his friends post a lot of the reviews! Based on my experience, I believe he was serious.
There's much more I could add to this review but I think you get the idea. My pedicure lasted about a week and the manicure about 2 days.
