I hit up Trader Joes to grab a few food items for cheap, but it's no my main grocery store by any means. They have friendly staff and a mostly good food selection. I especially like that their true health-food options are much cheaper in cost compared to other stores. I can get raw almond butter for $4! I can't get it that cheap anywhere else.
They also have great wine options. I've found some of the wine to be complete swill while others were quite good. For the house brands, or any unknown brands, you just have to try them out and see what makes you happy. I have found the tasting notes on tacked to the shelves to be quite accurate and do a lot to help pick the right wines. The case discount and the cheap wine prices make this a great hit if you need to stock up.
This place isn't big, but it has enough to get the core necessities and a some fun extras if you do need to make it your only stop for the week's groceries. Since the store is small, it can get really crowded. I advise you go during non-peak grocery hours.
