| - Was stuck at Mayo Clinic while my husband was in hospital and thought a manicure would be a nice break. Of course, I searched Yelp and found Lavish Nails, though I was a bit unsure given some of it's poor reviews. Considering that it's rave reviews were so, well...rave, I figured I'd give it a shot.
I called and was immediately accommodated with an appt within a half-hour. Jen, the owner, who answered the phone, was utterly pleasant and started me off with my requested parrafin dip while I waited for my manicurist, Sandy. She offered me a massage chair, and water, both of which I declined, but nevertheless appreciated her hospitality.
As noted, Sandy was my manicurist. She was so pleasant, and gave me one of the best manicures I've had in a long while, and I am picky as hell about cleanliness and expertise. She spent a ton of time on my cuticles and shaped my nails beautifully. Her hand massage was fantastic as well. And the price: unbelievably cheap. $22 for a manicure AND the parrafin dip?! I don't know about y'all, but if you live in a remotely urban area, this is the steal of the century. I'm planning to squeeze another manicure in before leaving town because I loved it so much and will absolutely drag my recovering husband in for a mani/pedi treat.
Thank you, Lavish Nails! (and, no, I was not paid for a favorable Yelp review, to the paranoid reviewer who has too much time on her hands)
