| - Dufflet may not be as "pretty" as some other bakeries/patisseries in Toronto - truth be told, some people might even call the interior a bit plain and homely. But when we're talking about their actual pastries, they're actually not too bad at all. They have various pastry types to offer (at different sizes) that are acceptably tasty - the bakery itself just isn't as hip or modern as some other bakeries, which is totally fine. The pastries speak for themselves, and they're really not too bad. Average, but good.
We've visited several times for pastries and drinks. We've had their hot chocolate, various cookies, and a mini Caramel Dacquoise. Pretty good - not amazing, but we enjoyed it. Flaky layers, sweet but not overly so. Not too creamy, which we liked.
Service here is nice and accommodating (we strolled in 2 minutes before closing, and they still allowed us to order and sit/enjoy our pastries). Interior is cheerful, if a bit plain. There were many people on laptops doing work, and others conducting coffee meetings, so it looks like a decent choice in the area for a variety of purposes.
Acceptable, but enjoyable! We'll be back when we're in the area again.
