| - I am a real person & this is a real review.
Ladies DO NOT under any circumstances go to this salon!!!
Note: Prior to my current career, I was a stylist at Vidal Sassoon's in Yorkville for many years; I trained at the Sassoon Academy in London, England.

As a result of writing the below review I received a number of abusive emails from a Salon B employee. Here is just one example:
"Hey boo-boo
Here is what the hairdressing community has to say about ur half cut retarded donkey ass!!"
I have contacted the police; I have filed a harassment complaint against this company.
Berating & harassing a former client in person or thru email is NOT acceptable.
Here's my story:
Friday, June 16th, 2017
I spent 14 months growing out my brunette roots. The middle area of my hair shaft was a warm blonde tone; the ends golden blonde. My aim was to have my color corrected so that from roots to ends the color would blend & be flattering to my skin tone.
The person who did my hair, Adrianna (Salon B owner), was rude, arrogant & very unprofessional. She did not provide me w/a "neutral" blonde as we agreed upon. My hair is a multi-colored, brassy blonde mess; due to Adrianna's sloppy technique both color & toner got on the ends of my hair lightening them to a grey/green color. My ends are even lighter than they were prior to walking in the salon door. Again, it took me over a year to grow out my hair, but only 3 hrs. for Adrianna to ruin it.
After my color, I agreed to have Adrianna "trim" my hair. She began to blow dry my hair. "Aren't you going to trim my hair first?" I asked. "I cut hair dry" she answered back. I voiced my preference for precise, blunt cutting on wet hair. "Go to someone else in the salon if you want a precise, blunt cut" she rudely responded. I was stunned at her arrogance. Adrianna is clearly a vey hostile person. Realizing the effect of her ill-manners, she agreed to trim my hair as I requested. Frankly, she embarrassed herself in front of other clients. As she started to cut the layers she began chipping at the ends. "No!" I cried out. I stopped her immediately. The gall of this woman to ignore the preference of a client who specifically asked for a blunt, precise cut. How dare she be so cavalier w/MY HAIR. Furthermore, this woman did not check her layers, or check if both sides of my hair were even. She did NOT check her haircut at all.
Note: During the hair coloring process, Adrianna & I had a conversation about "the business". She stated that she often considers leaving the business because of "the clients". It is inappropriate & unprofessional to make a disparaging comment like this to a client ( me ) w/another client sitting 2 ft. away, who was likely listening to the conversation.
After the blow-dry & trim, I briefly checked the color in the mirror & expressed my concerns about the brassiness; however, I did not want to cause a scene. I covered the poor result w/my baseball cap; paid my bill, left a tip. I walked out of the salon despondent & unhappy. Once I got home, I checked my hair thoroughly then sent a detailed, honest, but firm email to the salon outlining my concerns. At no time did my emails contain obscenities. After emailing back & forth a few times, the salon concluded that a refund instead of a color correction was the best course of action. I no longer trusted the person who claimed to have 25 yrs. of experience.

I passed by the salon to p.u. my refund. As I approached the front desk, am employee called out "Adrianna", who physically accosted me by forcing herself into my personal space her face literally inches from mine. She proceeded to harass, berate & blame me. She suggested I had no money to pay the bill. If I had no money, why would I have paid the bill to begin with & left a tip? Furthermore, she offered the refund; I did not request it. She choose to deflect rather than accept the responsibility of her sub par work. I took off my baseball cap to further illustrate the unacceptable quality of work a person of 25 yrs. experience had done. Two other women approached me. Both pushed their bodies towards me invading my personal space, attempting to intimidate me, while they shouted obscenities at me ordering me to leave the salon. The shorter blonde woman yelled "Go f__yourself". I must admit to losing my cool, I shouted back "Go to hell." There were clients in the salon at the time. I felt like I was in a bad reality show w/a a gang of trailer park thugs.
Over the years, I have been to many hair salons in the city: I have NEVER been treated which such open hostility & anger by a hairdresser.
I am DISGUSTED w/the lack of professionalism & decorum exhibited by these women.
Ladies, you deserve to receive stellar service & to be treated w/respect: it is your hair.
Stay away from Salon B!!!
