Promenade mall has changed significantly over time. I've been visiting the mall for over 20 years now and can say it has definitely changed, some for the better and some for the worse.
It's definitely been cleaned up and improvements have definitely been made. A complete renovation of the food court a few years ago was definitely welcome.
Some of the shops, however, show the mall's inclination to cater to the teen/other young female audience while ignoring the remainder of the population. Frankly, there are entire sections of the mall not worth visiting unless looking specifically for women's fashions or shoes.
Downstairs is a little better, although the stench of Nortown floods the air around their shop and can't be great for business in the shops and services around it.
The cinema is small and, despite being more reasonable than the larger chain theatres, you may still not quite get what you pay for.
Overall, the location for the mall is good, however, for its desired clientele and provides the necessary services for the area. A major quality control sweep looking into what stores should be in a mall and of the customer service provided by the shops and services in the mall would be appreciated. 3/5.
