| - Went to the parlor last night with my boyfriend. We showed up at 6pm and there was a 20 minute wait. I guess you can't make reservations unless your party consists of 10+ people.
Now why does everyone else give this place 5 stars and I give it 4? The food is definitely 5 star food. It's DELICIOUS. My boyfriend got the pizza which was fresh out of the brick oven, bubbly, and full of cheese. The star of the show was my sandwich! I got the "grinder" which had 'seasonal vegetables' provolone cheese, and salami on it. It came with a ton of parmesan and herb dusted fries. The sandwich was on a soft roll, dripping in a vinaigrette that the vegetables had been soaked in until tender. You would think that putting carrots, celary, bell peppers, and cauliflower on a sandwich would be disgusting, but it was ah-maz-ing. I couldn't stop eating it. My stomach was about to explode when finally I asked for a box. Made great leftovers.
I knock 1/2 star off for their non existent appetizers. When I eat pizza, I want some garlic bread. There were no appetizers on the menu. They gave you a paper for cheese & meat which came with rosemary bread, but that's just not my style.
Another 1/2 star was knocked off for the restaurant being short staffed. I felt so bad for our waiter. She was running back and forth, looked stressed, and was waiting way too many tables for her own good.
But the food is de-lic-ious. I'll be back.
