| - I'm sure they are nice people and do a good job for most. But, our experience was pathetic.
My wife and I went by to test drive the M235. We met there, so we had two cars and parked right in front of the entrance. We went inside and stood there. I found a brochure and was looking through it. We saw multiple people around, some with customers, some sitting at a desk. But, nobody came to talk with us. After about 10 minutes we went out into the lot to look for their M235s. We strolled around the entire lot, looking a different cars as we went. We finally came across their two M235s. They were locked, of course, but we looked into the interior and all around the cars. We then strolled back toward our cars, looking as we went. We reached our cars and still nobody had said even a word to us. We decided to just leave.
Before we left, I went back inside to tell them what happened, and that we were leaving. Then we received all sorts of attention, including the General Manager following us outside and saying he would take care of use himself. He was very nice, apologized, and speculated that the staff might have thought we were there to pick up a car from Service, as it was around 5:30. Even if that was the case, might have been good to ask, rather than assume.
I told the GM thank you, but that we would just look elsewhere. I ultimately bought an Audi S5 Cabriolet. Fantastic car! I love it. And, we receive excellent service at the Audi dealer. In fact, every time I have been there, I don't even make it to the door before being asked if I am there to see someone specific or if I need assistance.
As I say, I am sure that many, if not most, receive decent service at BMW, but our experience was the opposite.
