  • Working in Vegas every month for a week I wanted to find a decent club to visit. I contacted CIty Athletic Club through Yelp and almost immediately received an email from Jae the owner that said he'd comp me a week to check out the club. I was greeted by the receptionist and asked for Cesar the General Manager. Cesar welcomed me, had me fill out the necessary form and then proceeded to show me the gym, locker room facility and VIP section. His customer service skills were great. I changed in the VIP locker room. It was okay. Nothing to special. It could use some new furniture and flooring and a ceiling fan or two. I do like the fact that the VIP lockers have the built in programmable combination locks. The cardio section of the gym is decent. The equipment in great working order and there is a sufficient amount of machines to handle the customer flow. The gym could use new carpeting in the main floor area or just rip it out and paint the concrete. City Athletic Club has a great selection of machines, weights and various training areas. Lighting could be improved throughout the gym and janitorial services kicked up a notch. Overall it is a decent place to work out. I'm a spoiled little "Club Bitch" so its gruffness definitely could be refined for my tastes but you know what a 35 pound dumbell here weighs the same as it does at another gym. Give them a chance. Great customer service and focus...just could use a good top to bottom detail cleaning and some renewing of some of the furniture.
