| - Terrible service is the name of the game here. Came here in June and the service was pretty good. Not so as of late, however. I've never been to a place where I've sat at a very sparsely populated bar and waited 8 minutes for a bar tender to come up and take a drink order. Then waited another 10 minutes for the beer to make it to my mouth.
Zero attentiveness throughout the night, no sand for the shuffle board table, funky bathrooms and obnoxious country music when there's an NFL game on. That's where they're at now, and it's pathetic.
I REALLY want to like this place, and I want it to succeed. DUI-free, since it's biking distance for me, and it's the only sports bar next to Harkins now that Fox and Hound is gone.
They get 2 stars only because the prices are reasonable on happy hour, the gameday specials are pretty solid and the restaurant itself is extremely nice. Very high quality bar top, stools, lots of TVs, couches. Late happy happy hour during the week is a bit too late (11pm), and I hope that moves up at least and hour down the road.
Beer menu sucks for the most part, with a few notables (Green Flash...? can't recall anything else worthwhile!). Then again, I'm pretty unimpressed with Yardhouse anymore, so don't expect much here other than the national brands peddled by Hensley and Crown, with a few lame AZ craft brews thrown in for local appeal.
Improve the staffing, swap out the safety-swill that is Corona/Heineken/InBev/MillerCoors for real beers and maintain this nice facility the way it should be and I'll be a semi-regular, like I was at Fox and Hound. If they stay in business, that is...
