  • Amazing Black belts who teach the class. They really do a great job and the staff to child ratio is good enough to where they don't get lost in the crowd. The one major downfall of this place is the man behind the curtain. So 6 months ago we signed up and paid above average for this. We expected it because it looked professional and you get what you pay for right. Well, now after our child is a yellow belt they say- he is really doing good and he has the stuff to be a blackbelt. He should join our leadership program. The kids in the leadership program wear the black pants so you know who they are. They separate them during class and let them spar. Oh and you have to buy their sparring gear, even though its on amazon for half the price. We say ok, and then they say, come into the room and we'll talk. Its only a $500 dollar payment for some gear and a registration fee, then the payment is going up monthly, but you can come a little extra. We already are paying a lot for the regular training. The regular training is $99 registration fee, $159 for one child and $95 for the other with a one year contract. Then they ask what you do for a living. I never been asked this so much by one person. Does the price change if I am a surgeon compared to a mechanic? No price sheets. Not registered with BBB. Sounds like a lot of people pay different amounts based on certain criteria. The leadership program changes the monthly per child price to $219 per month for one child, but is that the surgeon price or the mechanic price? I disagree with the tactics that are used here because they get the kids to open the parents wallet. The kids see the other ones in the black pants and how they separate them to spar. Why different color pants? I believe in doing great things for kids, but ethics plays a role for sure. This is the only rating below a 4. That's is not very realistic and seems like more of the same manipulation. They give a discount on belt testing for a 5 star review here and on yelp. I am still at the school and my child will wear the white pants. He doesn't need $500 worth of gear and black pants to feel special or feel like a leader. I am looking for another place.
