Ordered and fully paid for an expensive Tommy Bahama dining room table in May 2017 from Good's Hickory NC store for our seasonal home in the south. Six weeks later it was delivered damaged and the delivery truck driver told me he could not leave the damaged furniture and took off with it while I was inside, on the phone notifying Goods of the problem. The reason it was damaged was that parts of the table came in very flimsy packaging from the manufacturer ( Lexington ) and one of the boxes was bashed in, revealing damaged furniture, through the hole in the box that had been re-taped (at the manufacturer??). A piece of the furniture fell off when the box was opened. Dealt with Greg Wrenn,VP OPS at Good's. Since we were leaving in 16 days to go up North for the season, and we found out that Lexington was closed for vacation, we were told that nothing could be done to deliver a replacement table in the 16 days we would still be down south. The best Good's would do was to return 50% of the full amount that we paid and keep the other half, when hopefully a new table would be delivered next fall upon our return down south? BE AWARE, WHEN GOOD'S DELIVERS EXPENSIVE DAMAGED FURNITURE TO YOUR HOME .... WHILE THEY WILL ALLOW YOU TO SEND IT BACK ... THEY MANDATE THAT IT GETS REPAIRED AND SHIPPED BACK TO YOU. OTHERWISE THEY WILL CHARGE A 50% RESTOCKING FEE TO RETURN DAMAGED MERCHANDISE. SO SORRY I DID NOT ORDER FROM A LOCAL, REPUTABLE STORE HERE IN THE SOUTH THAT TREATS CUSTOMERS BETTER.
