Looking for a pink/white fill and pedicure. Asked to have them done at the same time because I was in a hurry. They took me in on time and finished 2 1/2 hrs later. The owner, Paula, did my fill. I honestly wonder if she has ever done one before. I have been wearing acrylic nails for 14 years and travel extensively so I can't always go to my local salon. I can honestly say this is the worst fill I have ever had. The whites are totally uneven, the acrylic is way too thick and the nailed coverage is inconsistent at the cuticles. I usually get a gel coat but once I saw how bad the fill was I decided not to add insult to injury by paying more $. She didn't thoroughly clean the nails before she put on a top coat so it is pitted and lacks sheen. The acrylic products they use are the cheap and low quality.
Rebecca did my spa pedicure massage and did a great job but Paula told someone else to do the pedicure part and Paula did the polish. All in all it was disjointed and took way too long. The spa pedicure set ups are not typical. The tub is separate from the chair and they have to put a bolster across the tub to rest your feet on. Overall, not comfortable for you or the manicurist (using the term loosely).
Paula claimed she had new staff (with her only 4 months) but it did't seem like anyone could do anything w/o her directing them.
I went away from the strip because I didn't want to pay $200 for a fill and pedicure. I ended up paying $125 ($50 more than what I pay at home in San Diego) and it was a crap job that I have to redo asap. I would have been better off at the expensive spa on the strip. At least it would not have wasted so much time and I wouldn't be self conscious of how bad my nails look until I can get them redone.
