To start off, the front desk staff was nice and courteous, but it's clear this "hotel" nests the down-and-out in all ways you can imagine. Our toilet was running all night. The showerhead squealed and shrieked loudly when one showers. Our room stank. Our carpet had burnt spots. Cockroaches were common sights. Our pillows had stains. Next to us a family had a party all night. In the other room a father was yelling at his kids all night. The security guard (or at least I think he is) cruises around on a cart at night with no lights and my wife and I almost hit him with our car. Try calling the front desk with your room phone at night and it will likely not get picked up. It's acceptable shelter if you're raised on the streets or at the very least street smart and are not concerned about how the environment can serve as an ideal setting for a live event of a COPs show. I learned something about hotels now after many such experiences: if you want decency anywhere in the Southwest, you won't get it for under at least $150.00. The only thing that made us happy about our stay was that my wife and I had some good wins at the Vegas strip that evening.
