  • I was shocked at how badly I was treated by this dealership...until I read numerous similar reviews...so I'll gladly add my horror story as a warning to others. I was looking for a pre-certified suv and had narrowed my choices down to the jeep cherokee and hyundai tucson. Arriving at the dealership, I met David. He was courteous and gladly obliged my request to test drive the tucson. I enjoyed it's smooth ride and David explained to me all the other items that were included (he told me, every dollar counts and you want to get as much for your money as you can). An amazing deal at that price range. I told him I would come back later in the week. I was impressed with the hyundai's performance and thought if all their cars are this good, why not go for a new kona instead of a used tucson as the price range was comparable. I went back, as I said I would, and David let me test drive the kona and again he explained all the details. It was great! This was the car I wanted! Now, to iron out the pricing. David and I went back and forth on the options I wanted. David was courteous, informative, patient and most important, genuine. What I didn't appreciate was his manager, Sandy, swooping into our discussions seeing if the deal had closed yet? She had previously told me that all the dealerships only had the kona in black, grey and white (odd, as I checked another dealership to see a red kona, the colour I wanted...Sandy basically lied to my face!). Where David felt like a person helping me get the car I wanted, Sandy felt like this cold robot, not interested in me as a customer but as just another sales number (people can spot this stuff, Sandy!). When we narrowed it down to which model I wanted David prepared the financial options. I told him I needed to crunch the numbers and see which option I would go with. As I was leaving the dealership I knew in my mind was was 100% buying this car from David. When I came back to close the deal, that's when management appeared off the port bow, Sandy and Cezar, two icebergs that slammed into this deal and sunk it! David and I had settled on virtually everything except I was looking for a few dollars off my payments. We could settle on something I was sure but even if David couldn't take any more off I would still sign with him. David says he'll bring a manager to talk to me. He brings Cezar, trying too hard to have a commanding presence in a very improperly fitting suit and tight coat (people see this stuff Cezar!). He begins trying to make me feel guilty by telling me (and overexaggerating) all the hours David has put in (basically, his job requirement) and then tells me if I can't afford $10 a month I have no business buying a car. I quickly told him that was for me to determine as my finances are my own (I have $100,000 in my bank account but as David told me, every dollar counts, too bad Cezar doesn't understand this). I walked off the lot immediately! I texted David how rude Cezar was how insulted I felt. David courteously apologized for Cezar's behaviour. Soon afterwards, I received an email from Sandy, the other manager. True to form, her robotic personality came through again, basically saying we're sorry we spit on you and to "Take care". I would have bought this car from David, at the final price he gave me, but for the dreadful (or nonexistent) people skills of Sandy and Cezar I will NEVER set foot on that dealership again. David, you're a great salesman and person, get out of there before the toxic atmosphere turns you into a soulless zombie like your managers!!
