  • I have been a fan of Vitacost in the past. If in the area I would stop in to browse. Most times I am not looking for anything specific but in the past if I was I would call ahead to verify they had it before driving across town to pick it up. The drop in stars reflects my most recent experience. I had called to verify they had a product which showed in stock on line. I decided to call and see if they also had it in the store. Over the phone I was told that yes, they had about five in stock. This was on a Friday. On Sunday I drove to the store and not only did they not have the product the employee said he was not familiar with it and had never seen it in the store before. It's not even showing up on line anymore. He tried to pinpoint when I called and who I talked to but I didn't remember and being told there were five in stock I didn't bother to ask to put it on hold. He was very apologetic and said he would have a manager call me the next day. That never happened and honestly not sure what good it would have done being I had already wasted a trip over there. Yes, they have good prices but so does Amazon and I don't even have to leave my house.
