  • Horizontal Books has a pretty unassuming storefront, but if you look closely after doing a double take, you'll find that they boast a very sweet deal: buy one book 50% off, two books 60% off the total, and three+ books 70% off the total! If you have time to kill and are in the area, it's worth popping in and doing some digging for gems. They sell new books, but you won't be able go in to find specific titles. It's a random assortment of books probably procured from overstock. It's fun if you're not looking for anything, but want to see if you can find anything good. The layout reflects the randomness of the selections- wooden shelves with piles of books with no organization beyond standard categories (ie, travel, biography, history, self help). Not a bad place to find some coffee table books, a fiction paperback, or some children's books.
