| - I came in for an express pedi and a shellac polish change a few weeks ago. Overall, the salon is quite nice and I thought the girl who did my service did a good job. When my polish change was complete, I was told I was free to go. No one checked my pedi to see if it was dry, and I wasn't offered any oil or wrap before putting on closed toe shoes. I was quite upset when I came home and saw all of my toes were smudged.
When I called in, I was provided with the opportunity to redo the toes polish which I did about a week after my initial appointment. During that time, two of my fingers had chipped shellac. What I was most impressed by was the fact that the esthetician not only redid my toe polish - she redid my shellac polish on all of my fingers as well, without me having to ask!
the prices are HIGH in my opinion - I've read the reviews where they note that this reflects their high sanitation and quality - but I have been to other comparable salons in Toronto (where I just moved from) that also don't reuse buffers and files, and take their time, and only use CND Shellac, and the prices here are at least $10 more per service. However, I'm impressed by the commitment to the quality of service. I've only tried Vixen at this point in my new home city, not sure if I'll continue given that I do find the service pricey - pls consider some sort of Shellac VIP membership - I know I'd be a regular if you offered this!
