  • Markville Mall is getting upgraded! 2012 marks some serious renovations which included a facelift and new store openings and a hip urban food court. For the longest time, residents of Markham have been flocking to Scarborough, North York, and Toronto for their shopping needs. There really wasn't much happening in this mall. But then the mall started attracting investment from popular stores, and updating the look of the space to match the upgrades in other malls across GTA. Now Markville is a modern shopping destination that high schoolers would want to hang out with their friends at after school, and people would go to check out the latest fashions instead of merely stopping by Walmart to stock up on toothpaste and toilet paper. Check their website for all the recent store openings! Apparently more is coming! My favorite part of the mall is now the food court. i love the white and the red. CANADIAN COLORS! Reminds me of Yorkdale's new food court. Urban, airy and spacious. Now if only they could also open a Big Smoke Burger. I'll be delighted :)
