The check engine light lit up on my wife's 2007 Chevy Suburban so we took it into Thorobred to get things checked out. After keeping the truck for a day they called and told me they had bad news. We had two cylinders that had lost compression and we either needed to replace the cam shaft ($4000) or the complete engine ($8000). The explanation and diagnosis sounded a little fishy so I picked up the truck and took it to 2 different mechanics that both verified my suspicions. Long story short for under $1000 the truck is back to running perfectly and showing no error codes. Before letting Thorobred work on anything get a second opinion. It saved me $7000.
