Took my well-used Dahon folding bike to this shop for a squeaking noise. I knew it needed lubing, but where? Encountered an aging yet fit fellow who told me to lube it at home and I could buy bike oil from them. I am not that handy so I said I would pay for some one to oil what was needed and perhaps I would learn where to lube. Well, "Gramps" begrudgingly retrieved my German bike from my car and did the job. He was not personable and seemed to try to brow-beat me into a new purchase. He then informed me he had racked over 11K cycling miles last yr, and was 62 and retired, working there to keep busy. I said great but I am a retired
70 and just trying to lose wt. He looked waaaay older than me. He only charged me 5 bucks for the lube job (ok) and I was not offered any for purchase. He just "rubbed me the wrong way"! Not real cheerful.
