  • I was in Cave Creek to visit family and we decided to eat at The Horny Toad. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect based on the name, but I took a leap-of-faith and went with it anyways. It definitely has an a unique look to it, with a very heavy Western influence. The staff was nice and friendly and the place was clean. At first I thought the menu was a bit expensive but ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger anyways. Much to my surprise, the burger was huge! Not only was it huge, but it was tasty too. There were 7 other people in my group and everybody liked what they ordered. There were free refills on soda which was a nice touch. Overall, I recommend eating here if you're looking for good American food. There's also a nice outdoor patio to eat on if the weather is nice (it was a bit cold when we were there).
