  • This is a fun hotel but it shows it's age. The rooms feel worn as does the paint and the rest of the property. The pool areas have tiles falling off the walls and cracks everywhere. It has been like this for years so I am surprised they have not put money into fixing it up. It's not that it's a bad place, it's just that it could be better. The lazy river and the pools are fantastic though! It is so relaxing on the river to just lay there in an inner tube and watch the world go by. The food at the restaurant by the pool, called Slim Pickens, is very poor. Go off property to eat. They could definitely improve this. The food tasted as if it had been under heat lamps for a while, and the fries were old. I asked them for new fries and they told me they would be glad to replace them as the fries do get mushy sitting out. If they were sitting out, why did they serve them? Why does the guest have to ask for good quality? This is a good place to take the kids, but not a good place if you're looking for a high quality experience.
