I wanted to like this place so much and frankly the food was really good and you can't beat the intimate layout and location (beautiful Old Montreal) but the service was brutal.
I walked in to find a few tables empty so I was encourage to sit anywhere. My order was taken promptly but then things went a bit downhill. It took over ten minutes then for the waiter to return with water and a regular coffee which didn't bother me too much but my food took a considerable amount of time and the restaurant still wasn't full.
When the food arrived it smelled and looked delicious. I can say the food was really great too. I ordered their smoked salmon crepe which I couldn't finish given that it was so big.
So I waited. And waited. And waited. No one came around again to ask if I wanted more water or coffee or to clear my table and offer me my bill despite it being very obvious that I was finished and wanted more beverages. Patrons entered the restaurant asking for tables and the staff turned MANY people away or asked them to come back and told them they were currently full. Had they just offered a bit more efficient service they wouldn't have lost so much business and annoyed me.
I'd go back for the food and just hope that the slow service and one cup of water/coffee for an hour long breakfast was just a one time mistake.
