I would be happy to shed some truthful light on Buono's. They USE to be my favorite pizza place in the valley. I started eating here about 5 years ago. That is when the original owners still ran it. They are the ones that opened it, and decorated it, and were actually from NY. They took pride in the customer service and quality of food. They sold the business to another family about 1-2 years ago, and ever since the quality of food, and the customer service has been on a rapid decline. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. They overcharge for everything as you will notice when you look at their menu with the pizza sizes altered by writing in different sizes with pen. What use to be a medium is now a large, large is now an X-Large and so on. The truly amazing part is the sizes haven't actually changed, they just charge more. This is in addition to watered down sauces, dressings and overcharging for every little thing, and getting orders correct is apparently impossible. I called today because I wanted to order a Supreme pizza which can be found pretty much anywhere. I was told that they don't have a Supreme and it would be $1.50 extra for each of the 5 toppings. An extra $7.50 for a Supreme pizza!? No thanks they can keep their low quality high priced food. This is the last chance I was willing to give this once great place to get authentic NY style pizza. I have to come to terms with the fact the the REAL Buono's is dead, and the new owners killed it!
