Madison summer restaurant week 2017 experience:
Love the outdoor seating with lovely flowers and guess what, they grow tomatoes here too! Amazing customer service. Our waiter was very friendly and funny. Huge portion.
I chose the French quarter menu which was $35, one of the higher priced menu of restaurant week.
Appetizer - Smoked salmon and fennel with herbed Montrachet crepe: I like the unique flavor of the herbed crepe but that was the only thing that stood out for me.
Main course - Coq au vin with bacon and hidden valley mushroom with potato puree: When I said huge portion, I really meant it. Two people can finish this dish! The pork was very soft and moist but it was a bit salty for me. I like the flavor of the sauce but it wasn't very special.
Dessert - Praline cream cheese torte with wild berry compote: Nothing above ordinary to be honest. The dish has a fancy display but its taste was just okay
