  • Worst experience getting business cards ever. Wanted to get some temporary business cards while I'm having a professional design the more permanent design. Came into the store on day 1 Spoke with a woman in print services who gave me a paper asking me what I wanted on the cards. I explained that I'm having a professional make my cards and I just need cheap ones for the time being. She gave me a paper to jot down the info I wanted on it and I sent them the logo. Seemed pretty easy. She had me proof via email later that day but had the logo off center and the spacing between each line of the info was also inconsistent. So I call the next day (day 2) and explain, no big deal. Later that day I get them sent back with the logo in a decent enough placement so I said have them made, I show up and the cards were cut quite noticeably off center. The guys helping cash me out were helpful by saying he would have them remade the next day because it was obvious that an employee was being careless about the precision when cutting them. So now day three I call in to see what the status is, and she said she'll remake them and then email or call me when they're ready. No email and no call was received. So I go in later that day to buy them after she never called me, come to find out I had to pay the price of printing the cards plus nearly $30 EXTRA dollars for a design charge. For her to slap this simple little template-designed card together when she never said anything about there being a charge of any kind for designing any cards at all is ridiculous. I spent so much attention making sure the logo wasnt off center and that the cards were cut decently that I didn't even realize SHE GOT THE ZIPCODE WRONG. Had to have them remade where I was told it was now the last time they were willing to make them or I'd have to pay another design charge!! Ive had good experiences using the office max before, but this was way off the normal office max experience. What's worse is the guys that were nice and helpful through this process felt bad I had to keep coming back and told me they would "hook me up" somehow never called after they confirmed that they had my cellphone number. Clearly this kind of service and failure to follow through with their customers stems from the management. Hopefully they actually read their reviews cause this experience will stop me from doing business with office max/Office Depot altogether, I just opened a retail store for Art Glitter so it's unfortunate.
