My husband and I are Silver Hilton Honors members and have stayed at Hiltons all over the USA. We have stayed at the Tropicana over 10x in the past few years.
We reserve the bungalow room, balcony facing the garden and pool and pay extra with no qualms. For the 2nd time now, they have not had the room we reserved. This visit was planned for my Husband's birthday but instead of our lovely balcony room overlooking the pool, we were told it wasn't available the first night. We are not happy but they assured we would be credited $25/night and put in the proper room, the 2nd night.
Not only do we have to be ready to move but now it is the 2nd day after 4pm and our room is STILL not ready. We sit in our room waiting instead of enjoying our visit. The bungalow room they had us in (not what I reserved) overlooks the parking garage and service entrance to the hotel. We were awoken at 4am to trucks backing into the delivery area, cars coming in and employees shouting to each other. Very noisy.
We finally went down to the front desk and surprise, our room was ready. Ladonna and Kimberly were very professional apologetic and helpful so kudos to them.
