So, this side is privately owned - it is not county land. Remember that.
We paid $6 to park and paid the crab at the booth. When we asked if it got us to the other side as well - she shot us a look of disdain and told us it was not the same owner, so we would have to pay another $6 to get in at the other side to swim. Then huffed and turned away.
OK - so now we get on the shuttle to take us down to the dock so we could go eat at DIllon's. The driver complained the whole way down about what a crappy day she is having.
The floating dock was destroyed in a storm so you have to take a boat to get to the shops.
Ate a nice meal and headed back to go to the county side to swim.
There is kayaking, paddle boarding and other activities to do on this side, but there was just such a nasty energy around the place that we wanted to go to the other side.
The boat driver told us he had been calling for the shuttle for 10 minutes, but she has not come to pick anyone up. Great, it's a steep walk up the hill, so if you have back problems it is going to really hard.
We waited another couple of minutes along with 4 older ladies and finally the shuttle lady came back. She announced to us all that she only comes to pick up handicapped people and the boat driver should have known that. But, even though none of us were handicapped she would take us.
If you want to spend $6 to be abused be my guest and go. Otherwise go to the Dillons location at W. Thunderbird and the 101 and eat a nice meal without all the crabbiness.
We ended up going to the other side, paid the $6 to a smiling young lady who told us to have a wonderful day, and we did.
