The University of Illinois Arboretum is an outstanding place to just relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Though I didn't see the sensory plants- next outing, I loved the pathway that lead to the actual gardens and that you could bring your pet, picnic or just relax with friends or your SO. While on this adventure, I took many pictures and just enjoyed seeing a side of Illinois that many rarely do, while relaxing with family. I'll definitely be back to see the sensory plants and to perhaps explore more of the grounds when there are more blooms in the summer. I also loved the fact that the groundsmen watered the plants with water used from the small pond, keeping down on water waste and reusing what nature already has placed for the plants. Wonderful outing for the nature enthusiast or a perfect place to go for exercise.
