  • I purchased an engagement ring January 2016 and a couple of months later a diamond fell out. Then a couple of months before our wedding (October 2016) an entire portion of the ring breaks! (My Wife is a stay at home mom so she doesn't do any real labor). I purchased a two year warranty so I took it to the store and a manager tells me that I needed to register online with my receipt to be eligible for the warranty replacement (no one told me this when I purchased the ring and I just made a blank trip). So I go home, register online, call keepsake (name of insurance company) only for them to tell me that walmart is required to cover the warranty during the first year and I would have to go back to Walmart to submit my claim. As you can understand, when my wife and I go back to the Walmart we are not pleased and pretty frustrated with them giving us the run around. So immediately we ask to speak to a manager. Some old blonde chick is rude as hell and never allowed me to speak for her to know what my concern was. Only thing she kept saying was "You have To go online" not listening that I tried that already. So I asked to speak to a more competent manager. (Wishful thinking) The gentleman who came over to the counter asked me how he could help and immediately turned to the register to start typing! (Rudest shit in the world to do to an already frustrated customer) I called him out on it and just asked for his undivided attention with hopes that if he heard my story he would find a soft spot within him to put forth more effort to assist my wife and I........That didn't happen. This guy looks me in the face and says "You need to file a claim online with Keepsake... we don't do warranties." So then I realize he is just as incompetent as I hoped he wouldn't be. I asked to see the brochure for the warranty I purchased and low and behold the first fucking page specifically states that walmart covers the warranty the first year of having the service! I pointed it out to the idiot manager and then he decided to put forth a little more effort and send my wife's ring to god knows where for repair. Meanwhile I had to buy my wife a whole new ring for our wedding. Weeks later I get a call from walmart saying I can pick my ring up but they were unable to repair it and I would have to send it to Keepsake! When I go to pick it up the lady in jewelry says the person who can give us the ring is on lunch and we would have to wait. We wait ten minutes for this lady only for the other lady who said she could not help to hand her the keys to open a drawer and pass us the ring! Apparently opening drawers aren't in her job description. This Walmart will NEVER get our business again and I will be sure to tell everyone of our horrible experience. Meanwhile we still haven't gotten our ring fixed.
