  • This version of The Bay desperately needs an upgrade. Everything about it is old and tired. Doubtful that the owners will clean it up: more likely they will do nothing and leave it as it is. Too bad, for The Bay still has much to offer. The Bay is one of very few department stores in Canada. Management is huge fans of one day and three day sales. I refuse to shop there without a sale. If I go one day and buy full price, the next day it will be reduced, so I may as well wait. Women's clothes are really poorly organized here. They mix in regular sizes with plus sizes and then throw in some petites just to be confusing. They don't call plus sizes plus sizes so it's even more confusing, as you're likely to think "oh cute skirt, but it looks big" and then realize it's a plus size. The shoes are usually a mess too. The Mac counter is unmanned or poorly manned. Yea, maybe 3 stars is too generous, but I have gotten some really good deals here by going on one of the very frequent sale days, so I'll stick with it.
