  • I have to agree with several other reviewers here - Bloorcourt seems to be charging exorbitant prices for basic services. (This is a major change from the previous owners of the clinic.) We have a completely healthy dog, and his basic shots and checkup plus heartworm/flea meds cost $395 today! After I paid - frankly, in shock - I got home and had a chance to go over the bill, then called to inquire about a $75 blood work charge that was on top of checkup, vaccines and meds. I was told that the "new owners mandate annual blood work - it's a higher standard of practice." It may indeed be a higher standard of practice, but we've owned two other dogs and have never forced to do yearly blood work - in fact, our previous vet told us it wasn't necessary. What's more, I wasn't told that it's now mandatory during the checkup, so the charge took me completely by surprise. Honestly, the vet and techs are nice, but it is NOT cool to impose new charges and not warm clients in advance. $400 is a LOT of money for basic vet services.
