  • I was looking to color my hair with Henna at home. In the midst if my search for online products and information, I found this salon that specializes in Henna hair coloring, the only one in Cleveland. I called and Kelly who is the owner answered and gave me basic info. I am African American, so I decided to drop by before my appointment day unannounced for her to give me an opinion about my hair color texture as I was skeptical it would give me the result I was looking for. She stopped and took time to talk to me and my friends and give me further information incliding a brochure about the coloring process and we looked at my color options. It was basically a mini-consultation. She was very knowledgeable about the henna coloring process, so I felt confident keeping the appointment with her. Her daughter was nice too as the receptionist at the time. Very down to earth, comfy atmosphere. On the day of the appt, the entire process took about 2 hours. My grays colored nicely and I feel very happy with the result. It is reddish-brown. She also does chemical processing but I was not interested in that as I am trying to go all natural with my hair. She was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable during the appointment. I chose to style my own hair at home because I am a natural and I didn't expect her to know how to style my hair texture. She offered to try but I took a pass. I still tipped her because overall I was very pleased with her service and the color which was my main objective. It was much easier allowing her to do it than it would have been for me at home. Her price was extremely reasonable and I love the color. Henna is much healthier for your hair as opposed to chenical color. It's worth the extra $20 to allow a professional to apply it...that's her speciality not mine. Some things are worth paying for and this was one of those times. Henna is an all natural coloring process that looks great on my hair and I am close to the color I wanted. It will get redder as I continue...this was a base to start. I will repeat as a customer for sure.
