Absolutely the WORST. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Let me start with their service. Also let me say that the tech was a great guy and seemed very competent even though he only has 2 months on the job. (See update below).
Their price is where they try to scam you every way they can. I booked an appointment to have all the items they installed serviced. I was quoted a price. When they got here, the price quoted was for only 2 of the 3 pieces they installed. Then they told me the price didn't include all the parts. When the smoke cleared, they tried to bump me $77 for a membrane and another $77 for the filters on the 3rd item that they installed. That's $154 more than I was quoted on the phone. Tech was back and forth on the phone with his supervisor, could not use his computer because he couldn't connect and didn't have the correct part to make a repair on a part they originally installed so they had to install a different model which was also $77. How can everything cost the same???? He agreed to do the part replacement for $20. Told him to button everything up and leave. Paid for what he did and that's the end of Aqua Science in my book!
When they did the original install they gave me a price that almost killed me. When I said no, and still said no and still said no they kept reducing the price over and over until it was what it was supposed to be. That was about 1/3 of the original quote (if I recall). They did do a good job doing the install. Their techs are competent. Someone has to pay for all the fancy technology, trucks, dispatchers, foremen, etc.
I am going to have a local guy who does water units come in and complete what these guys didn't do.
I would tell you to find a local a small local guy to do the work. You will get the same equipment installed by an experienced tech.
Be a savvy consumer as these people prey on the uneducated!
I would NOT recommend Aqua Science to a friend.
UPDATE: 5 hours after the tech left we came home to find a flood under the sink where he changed the reverse osmosis filters and installed a new updated electronic water leak sensor... Which did in fact work great since it was beeping like crazy when we came into the house. The entire area under the sink was soaked and everything stored under there was ruined. Apparently one of the new fittings was either not on tight enough or something like that since the water was flowing out of the fitting before the shut off valve. I turned off the water and sopped up the mess. Called Aqua Science and listened to their answering system tell me I was next in line to reach someone. This went on for 5 minutes and then I got a message that they had technical problems with their phones and I should leave a message. I left my number with a description of the problem. It is Saturday, 6pm and don't know if I will get a call back before Monday!
