| - Food was good, but the service was awful.
A friend and I had decided to stop by to sample the all you can eat options available on Tuesdays after 5pm. When we walked in, we were seated quickly, but had to wait for someone to come and tend to us. When our waitress arrived, she didn't even mention the all you can eat option, but we ordered that anyway. For the first order, each person can choose two of the five poutine variations offered, then the subsequent orders consist of just one poutine each (this was not explained either, but we heard it from a waitress at another table).
When more people started coming in, we were ignored almost completely. Our waitress came to see how we were doing probably every 20 minutes, and each time she would would speak in a clipped way that made her sound annoyed. She only refilled our glasses once when we asked for more water. Another staff member however, did come by more regularly to clear our plates and top off our glasses.
A bill for the all you can eat option came to about $20, including taxes and a very undeserved tip (had I carried smaller bills, the tip would have been less). Overall, overpriced for the quality, which was good, but definitely nothing to write home about. The staff were either overworked or just didn't care about customer satisfaction, and the restaurant got extremely cramped very quickly - my friend had to move the table over to even squeeze out of her seat since the tables were so tightly packed together. I know of other poutineries that not only have better food at better prices, but also much better staff. This isn't a place I would go back to anytime soon.
