went there today to get some pastries.. having passed by it numerous times before. i do have to say. i'll definitely be visiting mon k patisserie more in the future.
i just made a quick stop to pick up
1) almond chocolate croissant
very butter and flaky. i do wish it had a bit more chocolate, but still very delicious. i agree with the reviews out there that this croissant easily beats out rahier for their croissants.
2) maribu cake
i wasnt sure if i'd like it. its a coconut mousse cake with passion fruit cream in the inside. definitely was a fantastic summer tasting cake. it wasnt too sweet or too tart because of the passion-fruit. the balance between the flavours was really good
3) japanese souffle cake
i've had this numerous times before at various patisseries in japan and asia. while i do have to say, its not the best one i've had.. its definitely the best one i've had in toronto
overall. DEFINITELY go!! the service here was fantastic. the girl who served me was very smiley, very friendly, and seemed very sincere and genuine.
while the actual store is quite small, its airy, bright and spacious :)
i'll definetly have to go back to check out their quiches and sandwiches and bread. they all looked so yummy by the counters.
