  • The Shiba Inu is a very intelligent, high-energy, and independant breed of dog. They are not reccomended for first time dog owners, but I just couldn't resist the allure of having such an amazing animal. My Fiancee and I initially took her to Learning Pawsabilities, a traditional dog training institute that happened to be 10 minutes from my house. She learned how to sit/stay and walk on a loose leash (kind of) all while ingesting a RIDICULOUS amount of treats. Once my dog realized that she could obtain treats through these actions, she refused to listen to us unless we had a treat. I then resented this training method as it made my dog sick from all of the treats. From that moment, my dog started to act out by scratching cabinets, ignoring commands, barking, among other destructive behaviors until she gets a treat or fed. Having no other options, I took to yelp to look for a better trainer. I then discovered All American K9 and the owner Bob. When I first read the $800 price tag, I was very skeptical. However after speaking with Bob on the phone he seemed to really understand my issues and was fully confident he could help me with the issue. He even knew just how stubborn Shibas can be, and guaranteed her training which really sealed the deal. After just 4 sessions, my dog is now fully trained and we have a fantastic relationship. She seems to really enjoy knowing what all my commands mean, and how to carry them out. We even took her to a beach with PLENTY of distractions present and she was perfectly obedient. During the training sessions, Bob was also training me as a dog owner to make sure that all of my actions were promoting good, obedient behavior for my dog. My dog and I would train for the reccomended 45 minutes a day during our walks and imitate what we both had learned in the prior lesson. The results were incredible after just the first lesson, and is why I would have ZERO problems reccomending Bob to anyone wanting the absolute best training for your dog. 5 Stars.
