I'd just like to say that the manager at this Party City needs a lesson in how to treat employees. My wife and I were getting assistance with having balloons blown up by a really nice lady (I forgot her name unfortunately) when the phone began to ring. Suddenly the manager comes out from the back and starts barking at her telling her to drop what she's doing and answer the phone instead of helping us and immediately walks off. This poor lady was working the front by herself and it baffles me as to why he couldn't help her instead of looking like a total dick in front of customers.
My wife and I felt bad for her and it seemed like she was upset by his attitude. None the less, she kept it together and continued helping us blow up those balloons after she was done with the phone call. As she was finishing up with the last balloon, the manager comes behind the counter (again not helping anyone with anything) and tells her "I don't care if the balloon pops, you don't just let the phone ring" right in front of us.
We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't the biggest deal that she had to stop and answer the phone, but having to shame your employees in front of customers is no way to give a great shopping experience. I don't see why there was any need for him to show off his shitty attitude to the customers instead of waiting until later and talking with her in private. Also, if answering the phone is so important, how about you lead by example and help out instead of treating your employees like shit?
Dear Party City lady,
If you happen to read this, I'm sorry that you have to put up with someone who clearly has no idea how to properly manage.
