I have been waiting a long time to write this! The first thing I can say is, it was worth the wait!
Walking down pen avenue toward the bridge the sweet smell of wood fire and grilling hits you about a block away! The line for lunch can be a bit long at times, but it moves pretty fast so don't give up.
The chalk written menu is easy to follow, small plates, salads, main dishes specials and grilled beef and pork!
For lunch I have been waiting to try the braised beef with rosemary and horsey sauce on a fresh focaccia. It was everything I could have imagined and more. The beef was tender and juicy and the rosary and grilled opinions were a perfect addition without hiding the flavor or the star of the show!
I also had the pork empanadas which were the best I've ever had... Period.
I can't wait to try everything.
My goal is the paella which serves 3-6 humans!! I am sure I can find a few volunteers for that mission!
