| - Spending the day at a mall pushing past teenagers and trudging up and down escalators is usually my idea of self-flagellation. But not Vaughan Mills on a weekday afternoon! Tons of space, not too many people, one level, lots to browse, neat and clean (especially for places that are usually a living nightmare, like H&M or the religious sweatshop tween-crammed hellhole that is Forever 21).
I wouldn't classify the deals as Off the Hook. There are plenty of "sales" on regular price items but clearance sections (and stock in general) at most stores are limited, especially for the XS-S ladies. If you're looking for something in particular, do a little digging and you might come out happy. (For example: one great buy of a pair of basketball shoes required visits to Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Champs, The Shoe Company, Foot Locker, and a few others - Nike Outlet was the winner.)
Downtowners can also get a little road trip out of the visit, so make a mix CD for the ride and a day of it. The entire mall takes about 5+ unrushed hours to fully explore, including time for a mandatory Taco Bell break.
