  • As far as buffets go, Misaki will get the job done. Our friend chose this Misaki for his birthday, so we got our expectations in order, and our experience ended up being positive. You always have to temper your expectations when going to a buffet like this. You know the sushi - which is primarily what I end up eating - won't even come close to the best quality, but you also know that it would have to be incredibly awful sushi to not stuff your face anyway. In that sense, I left very full and content. The sushi was decent, but a step down from my experiences at Tokyo Buffet in the North Hills. The sashimi definitely wasn't very good, but the rolls were fine. The chefs working the sushi bar were also very nice. The hot foods that I did try were good. I didn't eat too much from the hot foods section, but I tried some of the appetizers and some of the chicken dishes, a la General Tso's, etc. No complains there, but nothing to write home about. The space is huge and a little odd. Nothing like eating sushi while staring at a painting of the Mediterranean leftover from the Italian place that predated Misaki's takover! Overall, while a little dark, the cleanliness was good, and we had great, attentive service! Overall, Misaki won't be our go-to buffet, but we also wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were invited to go again. A perfect example of a 3-star place to me.
